Scotts Head PS Bush Tucker Track, NAIDOC 2016

Scotts Head Public School celebrated NAIDOC Week 2016!

We had an amazing cultural day in celebration of education week, the local mob and NAIDOC Week. The day involved a range of schools, such as Scotts Head Public School, Bowraville Central School, St Mary’s School and Medlow Public School. We all had the opportunity to listen to incredible and well-respected guests who spoke in language, held a smoking ceremony, taught us all about bush tucker, played the didgeridoo and taught students all about bush, including the different types of native plants and what they are used for. It was an amazing day and the students and teachers learnt a lot.  Come along and watch as we all learn about history, culture and more.
